HIM 266 - Computers in Health Care

Class Hours: 3

3 Credit Hours

This course covers hardware and software components of computers for medical record applications, methods of controlling accuracy and security of data in computer systems, record linkage, and data sharing concepts.

Prerequisites: Prerequisites with a grade of “C” or higher: AHS 102 , HIM 104  or BIO 112  or BIO 211 , HIM 103 , HIM 135 , and HIM 216 .

This course is typically offered in the spring semester.
