WLD 106 - Gas and Arc Welding Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 3 4 Credit Hours
This course covers the basic principles and practices of oxyacetylene welding, cutting, and electric arc welding. Emphasis is placed on practice in fundamental position welding and safety procedures. This course will cover proper set up, use, handling, and storage of compressed gas cylinders, the use of hand torch and automatic cutting equipment, the ability to cut straight lines, circles, and shapes and the proper use of a scarfing tip.
This course is typically offered in the fall semester.
