Electrical Line Worker (ELW)

The Electrical Line Worker Program prepares students to enter the electric utility industry as an apprentice with a broad understanding of the skills, knowledge, safe work practices and physical ability required to perform line work.  This certificate is offered in its entirety in the fall, spring, and summer semester. Students will receive classroom and field training in electrical computations, electrical circuit analysis, power systems, and transformer theory, as well as safety and climbing techniques.
