The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Technology builds upon the first-year certificate experience to prepare students for a wide range of careers in information technology. Whether students begin with the Computer Specialist or Cybersecurity Certificate, the associate degree expands their technical depth, problem solving ability, and career readiness.
The program integrates general education coursework with advanced studies in programming, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. During the second year, students refine their career direction through advanced coursework and specialization options, allowing them to align their skills with workforce needs and professional interests. The degree represents a comprehensive IT skill set that supports entry into theworkforce or continued professional certification and academic advancement.
A grade of “C” or higher is required in all CMPT coursework for graduation.
