IST 245 - Local Area Networks Class Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 3 Credit Hours
This course is a study of the methods used to interconnect computers, terminals, word processors, facsimiles, and other office machines within a given area. Examples of vendor implementations are used to illustrate various approaches. This course provides experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Local Area Networks in a lab environment. Authorized certification courseware will be used.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite with a grade of “C” or higher: IST 220 .
This course is typically taught only in the fall semester.
