HIM 104 - Anatomy and Physiology for Medical Record Coding Class: 3 3 Credit Hours
This course is a study of the structure and functions of the human body in order to prepare coders to extract clinical information from medical records. Emphasis is placed on the proper use of anatomical terms in the medical coding environment.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites with a grade of “XC” or higher: MAT 013 and RWR 032 or satisfactory placement score. BIO 112 or BIO 211 can be substituted for this course.
This course is typically taught only in the fall semester.
