Microsoft Office Applications Specialist Certificate (MOAS)

The Microsoft Office Applications Specialist Certificate is designed to prepare individuals for employment in an office environment with specialized skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.

The Microsoft Office Applications Specialist Certificate Program requires at least a grade of “C” in all of the courses offered within the MOAS curriculum for the grade to be counted toward graduation. Specifically, these include courses with the following prefixes: ACC, AOT, CPT, IST, and MKT.

Graduates of this program will have acquired increased skills in targeted office applications.

Authorized certification course materials (MOS-Microsoft Office Specialist) are used in the courses and graduates are encouraged to obtain their MOS certification.

The certificate can be completed completely online and graduates may apply the coursework towards the Associate Degree in Administrative Office Technology.

Developmental Courses

This program of study requires that all developmental courses be completed prior to graduation. These developmental courses may or may not be prerequisites to courses required in the program. Developmental courses are determined by placement tests taken at the time of admission into the College. The developmental courses are MAT 013  and RWR 032 . These courses do not count for credit in any program of study.

Following is a list of courses required to complete this program. Since some courses are offered once a year, courses should be taken in the foll owing sequence in order to complete the program in a timely manner:
