SUR 103 - Surgical Procedures I Class: 4 Lab: 0 4 Credit Hours
This course is a study of a system-to-system approach to surgical procedures and relates regional anatomy, pathology, specialty equipment, and team responsibility. Patient safety, medical/legal aspects, and drugs used in surgery are emphasized.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites with a grade of “C” or higher: AHS 102 , BIO 112 (or BIO 210 and BIO 211 ), SUR 101 , and SUR 102 .
Corequisites: BIO 115 or BIO 225 , SUR 123 , and SUR 125 .
This course is typically taught only in the spring semester.
